The Swedish Council for Higher Education, UHR, is a government agency with a broad mandate in the field of education. Our vision is education, exchange, and development - for everyone who wants to move forward.
We are now looking for an Administrator for the Department of Competence Supply and Administration. The department encompasses the three areas of admission, assessment, and international affairs. The goal is to develop the assignments so that they collectively contribute to the national competence supply.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process project applications, prepare decision-making materials, issue contracts, and manage payments.
- Work in processes with colleagues and contribute to developing processes and routines for case management.
- Provide advice and support to ongoing projects.
- Inform and raise awareness about the program to increase interest in applying and participating in the program.
- Monitor projects, including conducting financial follow-ups and potential recoveries.
- Analyze and disseminate results within the program and contribute to reports, analyses, and annual follow-ups.
Other tasks may also occur.
The position is based in Visby but also involves a number of business trips primarily to Stockholm, but may also include other business trips.
Who You Are
You have:
- A relevant academic degree or equivalent experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish education system and preferably experience working in the education sector.
- Good knowledge of Excel and experience working with databases.
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience working with budgets and financial follow-ups.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience working with internationalization and exchanges within the education sector.
- Experience in administration within public administration.
- Experience with various communication initiatives and digital tools for this.
- Personal experience of studies or work abroad.
To succeed in the role of Administrator, you need: Working with international exchange programs requires a working method characterized by excellent organization, accuracy, and structure. It is important that you can quickly familiarize yourself with regulations, both in Swedish and English. It is also essential to be able to carry out tasks within given frameworks and on time. The work requires a high degree of personal responsibility, but since you work in a team, you must also have a good ability to collaborate with others. You are a good communicator, both verbally and in writing, and can represent the agency in various contexts. You should also be comfortable speaking in front of larger groups.

The Nordplus program is the Nordic Council of Ministers' program for lifelong learning in the field of education. Nordplus junior is a subprogram aimed broadly at preschool, primary school, secondary school, and vocational education. The program offers collaboration and exchange among the five Nordic countries, the three Baltic countries, and the self-governing areas of the Faroe Islands, Åland, and Greenland. As an administrator for Nordplus junior, your tasks will primarily relate to that target group in the area.
