Do you want to work outdoors in beautiful environments and help preserve our cultural heritage? Skinnskatteberg with Hed and Gunnilbo parish is looking for two cemetery workers for seasonal employment. The main work involves the maintenance and upkeep of our 3 cemeteries, and some property maintenance of our churches and buildings may occur.

Job Responsibilities

As a cemetery worker, you will have a varied and meaningful job focused on the maintenance and upkeep of our cemeteries. The tasks may include:

• Mowing and trimming
• Maintenance of plantings, shrubs, and trees
• General upkeep of cemetery grounds
• Some property maintenance of churches and buildings
• Preparations for burials and ceremonies

You will work both outdoors and indoors and become an important part of our operations.

Qualifications

• Driver's license B is required
• Experience in similar work is an advantage
• Operating certificate and experience working with a wheel loader is an advantage
• Interest in gardening and practical work
• Ability to work independently and with others

The greatest emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is responsible, meticulous, and has a positive and service-oriented attitude.

You will be part of a team that currently consists of the cemetery manager, three church and cemetery caretakers, one seasonally employed cemetery worker, and the cemetery administrator. Together we work to create pleasant and well-maintained environments.

Employment Type and Working Hours

• Seasonal employment May–October
• Extent: 100 %
• Working hours: Monday–Friday 07:00–16:00
