For us, teamwork is important, and it is something we set the framework for together with home healthcare. We always have the care recipient at the center and therefore believe it is important for the care recipient to be involved in the design of their services.

As a nursing assistant, you work closely with people and provide support in each individual's daily life. You perform care and support work for individuals in their own homes. You motivate and stimulate the elderly based on their individual conditions, needs, and wishes. The services are granted based on assistance and can vary from personal care to service tasks. The goal is to enable individuals to stay in their homes for as long as they wish. Your tasks include being a contact person/permanent care contact, and you will, together with the individual, plan, implement, update, and document the work. It also includes performing health and medical care and rehabilitative services as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

We work according to the Social Services Act and the national value framework with a focus on the individual's needs at the center. The work involves providing social care and support based on a health-promoting approach, which includes utilizing the individual's resources and focusing on the healthy aspects of each care recipient.

All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems used within the city of Gothenburg, you will receive training in these.

The individuals we meet need support both during the day, evening, and weekends. Your working hours are therefore scheduled.

About You

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. You can either show a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, training certificate, or show that you have previously been permanently employed as a nursing assistant.
• Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as documentation and computer skills.
• Driver's license (B) and driving experience.
• Bicycle experience and willingness to use an electric bike at work.

Meritorious but not a requirement:

• Experience in care and support work, preferably within home care.
• Experience in social documentation and contact person/permanent care contact.
• Experience in writing implementation plans according to IBIC.

Personal Qualities

As a nursing assistant in home care, you are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations. Work in home care consists largely of independent work and personal responsibility, but you also work together with your colleagues. In your role, you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks. You think of those we are here for and their best interests.

In your role, you are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without being dependent on others. The tasks vary based on the care recipient's needs, and therefore it is important that you can change how you work when circumstances change.
