Job Advertisement: Nurse at the Dermatology and STD Clinic

The Dermatology and STD Clinic within Region Västerbotten is a small operation with significant responsibilities. The clinic is responsible for dermatological and venereological healthcare throughout the county and also has regional responsibility for several diagnostic groups. The clinic conducts general dermatology consultations as well as an STD clinic for sexually transmitted infections. Various specialized clinics such as occupational and environmental dermatology, vulvar clinic, genital dermatology, tumor clinic, and skin surgery plus laser treatments are also part of the operation. Telemedicine services with Lycksele and Skellefteå are included, as well as light treatments. The clinic conducts research and education in close collaboration with Umeå University.

As an employee at the Dermatology and STD Clinic, you will work in a team consisting of various specialties, and together we create a pleasant and developing work environment. Approximately 40 people work at the clinic, and at our reception in Skellefteå, you will work alongside another nursing colleague.

The clinic is a certified health-promoting workplace and is HBTQ-certified.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. You work in an organization that offers a varied and independent job with a strong patient focus. Your responsibilities include external treatments, medical baths, injections, and follow-up of various treatments. You also conduct your own nursing consultations and have close collaboration with doctors via remote video conferencing.

The role also includes administrative tasks such as telephone advice and follow-up of patients with various skin diagnoses. You are responsible for managing waiting lists, appointments, and sample collections, thereby contributing to a well-functioning patient flow and high-quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse with professional experience, and you are confident in your professional role and have experience working independently. You should be able to work with your own nursing consultations and also collaborate well with other staff. We are looking for a positive person with a strong sense of responsibility, patient focus, and good interpersonal skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
