About the workplace

Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest non-profit hospital with a clear value foundation – to see the person. With roots dating back to 1851, we have provided healthcare in Stockholm, but we welcome patients from all over the country. Here, we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and expertise.

Within our advanced home healthcare (ASIH), we provide care at home for severely ill patients of all ages, around the clock. Most of our patients are in various palliative stages, but we also care for patients with curable diseases.

Our mission is to create security for patients in their homes, even when the illness is severe. We also work to ensure that their relatives feel involved in the care. Our workgroup is characterized by a warm and familial atmosphere where everyone knows each other – something we highly value and actively contribute to preserving. We offer a flexible workplace with a strong value foundation and high job satisfaction, which is also reflected in our employee surveys.

As an employee with us, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will give you the conditions to thrive at work and have a rewarding leisure time.

About the role

We are now looking for a nursing assistant for ASIH with a special assignment as vehicle manager. The position is divided approximately 50/50 between patient-facing work and responsibility for our vehicle pool.

As a nursing assistant within ASIH, you meet patients in vulnerable life situations. In the patients' homes, there is room for presence, conversation, and relationship-building – the foundation for good and person-centered care.

In the assignment as vehicle manager, you are responsible for ensuring that our vehicle pool operates smoothly and safely in everyday life. This means you have an overall view of the vehicles and manage, for example:

  • booking of service, inspections, and tire changes

  • contact with leasing and workshop partners

  • planning and follow-up related to the status of the vehicles

  • driving cars to and from the workshop as needed

You play an important role in creating the conditions for care to function effectively and safely – even behind the scenes.

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you are a person who takes responsibility and finds it easy to create structure – both in patient-facing work and in the operational support role as vehicle manager.

You are comfortable working independently in patients' homes and at the same time have good collaboration skills. You see what needs to be done, stay one step ahead, and take initiative when something needs to be resolved. With a solution-oriented and service-minded approach, you contribute to making everyday life run smoothly for both colleagues and patients.

You are practically inclined, meticulous, and enjoy external contacts, such as workshops and suppliers. At the same time, you have a warm and professional demeanor, good communication skills, and a genuine commitment to person-centered care.

You share Ersta's value foundation of seeing the whole person and our value words; professionalism, trust, and hope.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a trained nursing assistant with several years of experience

  • has experience in hospital care, ASIH, and/or basic home healthcare

  • has good organizational skills and enjoys planning, coordinating, and following up

  • is comfortable handling administrative tasks related to daily operations

  • has a B driver's license

We view positively if you have experience in coordinating tasks, such as scheduling, materials, equipment, or logistics.

Other information about the recruitment

We apply probationary employment as standard.
