JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a building permit officer, you will be responsible for processing building permit and notification matters as well as supervision according to the Planning and Building Act. The tasks include, among other things, reviewing matters within and outside detailed planning areas, examining documents, handling referrals, and preparing, dispatching, and announcing decisions. The role also includes handling matters related to shoreline protection.
You will have ongoing contact with private individuals, companies, and other stakeholders in the construction and real estate sector, mainly via phone, email, and meetings. You provide guidance throughout the case process and ensure that applicable legislation and regulations are followed. The role requires a professional and service-oriented approach as well as a good ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience in processing building permits and supervision matters. Education in the Planning and Building Act is a requirement, and we would like you to have experience in the field and public authority work.
Experience from similar tasks in municipal administration is an advantage.
A valid driver's license (B) and driving experience are also required for the position.
As a building permit officer, you will primarily work closely with a colleague in the planning and building permit area. We place great importance on consensus and aligned assessment during inspections, which is achieved through ongoing dialogue within the workgroup and work routines. Therefore, you need to have good collaboration skills so that we can create an efficient case management process. The assignment also includes responsibility for drafting various types of documents, which means you need to be able to express yourself well in writing.
Experience with the operational systems P360 and Nova is a must.
OTHER
The position is a temporary contract until May 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Start date: By agreement
