As the Transport Manager at Swedfarm, you ensure that the entire transport flow operates smoothly in a business that contributes to secure and sustainable food supply in Sweden.
Your future employerSwedfarm has a long history dating back to the 1940s. Over the years, the company has developed and is now a market leader. We sell chicks and pullets to Sweden's egg industry and equipment as well as complete systems for poultry and meat bird production to customers across the entire poultry industry. We collaborate with leading suppliers and provide professional advice to customers in the industry.
The operational business is located just outside Herrljunga where we have our own breeding and rearing barns, a modern hatchery, and our logistics unit. The headquarters is in Linghem, which includes storage, sales, and support functions.
For many years, Swedfarm was a family-owned company, but is now owned by the MRefine Group along with our CEO Mikael Mörk.
What does the role offer? As the Transport Manager at Swedfarm, you will have a central and responsible role where you ensure that the entire transport flow in the business operates smoothly – every day. You are responsible for planning, managing, and following up on transports related to a business where animal welfare, quality, and precision are crucial.
The role combines operational responsibility with planning and development, where you work closely with drivers, salespeople, and site managers. You will be a key person in the daily operations and part of the local management team, with the opportunity to influence both work methods and structure moving forward.
Your responsibilities include:
Planning and coordinating all transports of day-old chicks, pullets, eggs, materials, and container transports.
Leading and distributing the daily work for drivers and conducting employee reviews and meetings.
Ensuring that vehicles, maintenance, and inspections are managed according to applicable requirements.
Maintaining customer contact regarding delivery notifications and changes.
Supporting the sales organization with answers regarding possible and effective transport solutions.
Working in business systems (Visma) and Excel and contributing to continuous improvements.
You will enter a business where a lot is happening, where flexibility and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.
Who are you?You have experience in logistics and transport planning and are used to taking responsibility for both people and flows. You thrive in a role where structure, foresight, and problem-solving are essential, while also being able to act quickly when conditions change. You have previously worked in a leadership role and feel comfortable with personnel responsibility.
As a person, you are structured and analytical, with the ability to plan both short and long term. You are flexible, resilient under stress, and enjoy juggling multiple tasks without losing sight of the bigger picture. At the same time, you are service-oriented and communicative, with a humble yet clear leadership style – you are not afraid to stand your ground when necessary and are well-versed in regulations, driving times, and transport safety.
You have good system skills, especially in Excel and business systems, and can express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is required, and it is an advantage if you also have a C license and valid YKB.
Is this your perfect match? At Swedfarm, you will work in an unusual and meaningful context, where transport is not just about logistics – but about creating conditions for animal welfare and a food product that is important for all of Sweden. The culture is unpretentious, helpful, and characterized by supporting each other across boundaries.
If you are looking for a role where you can combine responsibility, variety, and challenges in a business that truly matters – and where your work makes a difference every day – then the Transport Manager position at Swedfarm could be just right for you.
