Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for a new colleague at Fanjunkaregatan Care Home who wants to become part of our wonderful team! The position is a permanent employment at 87% where the working hours are scheduled for awake night shifts.

Working as a nursing assistant at night is an independent job. You start by receiving a report from the evening staff and reading in our documentation system Treserva. During the night, you have scheduled visits to certain residents, which can range from supervision to specific care tasks. Other common tasks include cleaning shared spaces and washing both residents' and staff's work clothes.

With us, you will work to meet the individual needs of each resident. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful everyday life for our customers. The nursing assistant position also includes care tasks, such as assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions.

We work based on IBIC (individual needs in focus) and with the individual's best interests in mind. Our work is also characterized by a salutogenic approach, which means focusing on the healthy aspects and drawing out the person's own abilities.

Your Workplace

The Health and Care Administration provides elderly care in municipal management in Linköping. Here, there are approximately 1200 permanent employees and a large number of substitutes. Linköping Municipality has a long and well-established experience in care and support for our elderly residents.

Fanjunkaregatan is a care home for people with dementia and is located in the residential area of Valla/T1 near Vallaskogen, not far from Linköping city. The facility consists of two different departments with a total of 13 places. We have a close collaboration among ourselves and help each other in the work teams.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has an approved Swedish education as a nursing assistant, as well as experience of work or internship in the field. If you have experience working in dementia care, it is an advantage, as well as if you have previously worked night shifts. You also have knowledge of a salutogenic approach, and if you are familiar with low-arousal responses, we see that as an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience with the IBIC method.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in journal systems.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.
