At Bräcke home care Stolplyckan, we work with care, responsibility, and humanity – in people's homes and at our sheltered housing. We are part of the ideologically driven Bräcke diakoni and our overall mission in Linköping City South. We are now looking for a care assistant with extended responsibility as a meeting point coordinator, with an interest in leisure activities and health-promoting work for the elderly.

Your Role

The position is divided and comprises approximately 50% as a care assistant in the home care group and 50% as a meeting point coordinator at our sheltered housing. In this role, you combine care work with a coordinating responsibility to create meaningful, safe, and inclusive activities. You are a stable and engaged contact person and contribute to community and well-being in everyday life.

As a Care Assistant (Mornings)

  • Provide personal care and support in daily life
  • Work according to implementation plans and document in the documentation system
  • Perform delegated health and medical care tasks
  • Collaborate with colleagues, nurses, and other functions

As a Meeting Point Coordinator (Afternoons):

  • Plan and carry out meeting point activities together with the residents, such as music, games, conversations, and exercise
  • Create structure, continuity, and participation in the activities
  • Adapt activities based on the needs and interests of the target group
  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts
  • Be responsible for property contact, overseeing the property and supporting residents with issues such as maintenance requests

The meeting point activities involve about 10–20 participants. You will have access to the previous meeting point coordinator's calendar as support and set aside time for planning and preparation, about one day per week.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is social, secure, and enjoys meeting different personalities. You are comfortable in both individual conversations and groups, have an easy time creating relationships and collaboration. As a meeting point coordinator, you contribute structure and planning while creating variety and adapting activities to the people you meet. Above all, you are driven by a genuine interest in health-promoting work and the belief that community, movement, and meaningful activities make a significant difference in the lives of older individuals.

Qualifications and Merits

  • Trained care assistant with a protected title
  • Experience in care and support work within residential services or home care.
  • Good computer skills, such as working with email, digital documentation, and Office programs
  • You can ride a bike
  • Approved grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 (high school level)
  • Experience in planning or leading activities, as well as experience in coordinating responsibility, is an advantage.

At our home care Stolplyckan, you will meet a close-knit workgroup where we support each other and share everyday life – both challenges and laughter. The work is based at the sheltered housing Stolplyckan and Översten, with good bus connections and proximity to several neighborhoods. We are part of Bräcke diakoni, which has overall responsibility for home care, home nursing, and home rehabilitation in Linköping City South.
