Your Role

In the sheet metal and welding workshop at Saab Kockums Muskö, you will be part of a team where everyone plays an important role in the goal of completing the navy's vessels and making them operational.

You will have a variety of tasks with a focus on renovation and modifications. Your initiatives and creative solutions play a vital role for vessels of different ages and sizes. The work is varied, and you will have good opportunities to develop your craftsmanship and professional skills.

Examples of tasks:

• Welding and sheet metal work during renovation and modification of vessels
• Manufacturing of single-piece components
• Inspections of e.g. anchor chains, lifeboat arrangements, etc.
• Various workshop tasks

The work is performed both onboard vessels and in the workshop. Domestic travel may occur. Working hours are during the day, and shifts may be required.

Requirements

• Experience in industry or workshop
• Basic knowledge of welding and sheet metal work
• Strong interest in technology
• Driver's license (B)

The job requires you to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for specific citizenship.
