Your Role

You will be part of a flexible team where we perform surface mounting, rework, and inspection of circuit boards. You will participate in the product development process to contribute with manufacturability perspectives and maintain good contact with the design department and adjacent support functions such as production technology and quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manual assembly of electrical components and some mechanics, for series and prototypes, according to applicable documentation.
  • Repair and modify circuit boards and circuit board units.
  • Inspect and control circuit boards and circuit board units.
  • Assist development/production technology in the creation of prototypes based on provisional documentation.
  • Participate in the creation of manufacturing documentation.
  • Some coating of circuit boards.
  • Actively work on efficiencies and improvements.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and manufacturing. The job requires you to be meticulous and have a strong quality awareness. Our business is constantly changing and evolving, so we are looking for someone who can interact with both development engineers and production technicians. The position requires you to be cooperative, self-driven, and capable of driving internal improvement initiatives.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school diploma in electronics or similar technical education
  • Experience in electronics assembly
  • Soldering certificate (FSD 5115 YR)
  • Knowledge in reading and understanding drawings, such as circuit diagrams
  • Good language skills in Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Education or experience working according to IPC A-610 or IPC A-620
  • Experience in circuit board assembly
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Experience working with administrative planning systems (MPS)
  • Training in ESD or knowledge of its impact and risks on electronics

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
