In Malmö, we have our operational center for school and ordered traffic, and the traffic coordinators staff the department around the clock, every day of the year. We are now looking for reinforcement in the form of two traffic coordinators: one who can work as needed and one for a six-month temporary position with the possibility of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a traffic coordinator, your task is to ensure that traffic flows smoothly. Drivers, clients, and other functions contact traffic management to resolve emerging issues, and it is your job to quickly find solutions. You maintain a good and businesslike dialogue with both drivers and traffic principals and clients.

The role of traffic coordinator requires quick decision-making as well as ongoing planning work to best solve the problems that arise. Furthermore, you are expected to report daily to your immediate supervisor and document and manage deviations continuously. Since the working hours involve a rolling three-shift schedule, we prefer that you are driven and proactive in your work and that you complete all assignments despite varying working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you are studying or have education in logistics or transport. The work as a traffic coordinator largely involves solving the problems that arise among our modes of transport, so it is important that you are creative, solution-oriented, and analytical.

Additionally, you should be stress-resistant, structured, and have a good ability to prioritize your tasks. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a requirement, as well as good administrative skills.

Since the work involves contact with both external and internal parties, it is important that you have good communication skills and that you enjoy working in a team.
