Ystad Hamn Logistik AB is responsible for the port operations in Ystad, which includes all operational management, maintenance, and development. The port is one of Sweden's largest ports with daily ferry traffic to Poland and Bornholm (DK). It is the third largest ferry passenger port in Sweden and has about 35 permanent employees.

About the job

We are looking for someone who can work full-time with us at Ferry Services during the summer season and/or on an as-needed basis.

As a dockworker, you and your colleagues perform practical work for the port's customers, such as loading and unloading truck trailers, mooring vessels upon arrival and departure, and directing traffic to ensure that all passengers and cargo are in the right place. You will also work on some maintenance of the port area. It is important to be a safe driver and a good team player for your work team to operate efficiently. Being open, social, and multilingual is beneficial as you will meet many different people during a workday.

Dock work involves rotating through various tasks, and in all of these, your and your colleagues' safety is of utmost importance.

The role of dockworker is classified in a security category. Therefore, we conduct security checks for all new hires.

Qualifications

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Computer skills

- Driver's license B for passenger car

- Driver's license C for truck, valid YKB, and driving experience

- Swedish

- English

Preferred

- Documented forklift training D - terminal tractor

- Driver's license D for bus

- ADR

- Danish or Polish
