About the Workplace

The Support Division: The workplace is located within Örlogshamnen Karlskrona (ÖHK), the Support Division is part of the First Submarine Flotilla's staff and handles logistics, security, IT security, intelligence, submarine rescue, operational safety, and healthcare.

Main Responsibilities

You will work as a representative of the employer and are expected to lead or participate in various working groups and projects related to occupational safety, both internally and externally.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • On behalf of the employer, together with others, follow up and develop the unit's systematic work environment efforts.
  • Support the operation with specialist knowledge in the field of occupational safety, systematic fire protection work, and chemicals.
  • Participate in inspections and controls of the operation.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents and deviations for the development of the work environment in the operation.
  • Lead and participate in the unit's safety committee.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university education in the field of occupational safety or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
  • Good computer skills
  • Driving license B

Meritorious

  • Experience in occupational safety work within the Armed Forces or at larger companies.
  • Good knowledge of laws and regulations in the field of occupational safety.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with the Armed Forces' systematic work environment efforts.
  • Good knowledge in systematic fire protection work and chemicals.
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in English.

As an occupational environment officer, you enjoy working independently and participating in complex working groups and projects, which requires good collaboration skills. You like to take responsibility, can plan and drive your tasks forward. You are used to working at a varied pace and can prioritize your work according to the situation. You feel secure in your role and can communicate with both large and small groups with different levels of expertise in the subject area. You are service-oriented and flexible towards both internal and external stakeholders. You are meticulous, safety-conscious, and have high integrity. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Having good physical ability and being able to adhere to the Armed Forces' physical standards is fundamental to our operations.

Employment Conditions

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.

Employment degree: Full-time

Work location: Karlskrona. The position involves business trips, participation in training, and exercises in the war organization.

Start date: As soon as possible, by agreement.

Salary: Individual salary setting applies.

The First Submarine Flotilla is on standby around the clock to monitor and protect Sweden's territorial waters, above and below the surface. The submarines also conduct covert intelligence gathering and marine special operations with divers, and they are ready to be deployed on international missions somewhere in the world. The Swedish submarines are highly advanced and can remain submerged for long periods. The submarine force also has the world's most advanced submarine rescue system and an advanced signal intelligence vessel for intelligence gathering.
