The Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority exercise for children, youth, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

We are a social service that is at the forefront of prevention work and in the transition to an even more accessible and knowledge-based social service.

We are a wonderful group of occupational therapists and physiotherapists belonging to the Health and Medical Care Unit within elderly care, in-house. As an occupational therapist, you will work in a team together with a physiotherapist at our nursing homes.

As one of our occupational therapists plans to retire, we are looking for a new occupational therapist colleague to central Huddinge and Björnkulla's nursing home.

About the job

The job involves being responsible for investigation, assessment, and treatment within the occupational therapist's professional area. This may include assessing activities and environmental factors in daily life, prescribing assistive devices, and conducting cognitive assessments upon a physician's order. We work with everyday rehabilitation by utilizing the individual's own resources. You will have close collaboration with the physiotherapist, nurses, and care staff at the nursing home, where teamwork is essential. You also play an important role in training and supervising care staff and students in rehabilitative and health-promoting approaches.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a trained and licensed occupational therapist with a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. We prefer that you have several years of experience working in elderly care.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as flexibility and teamwork skills, as the occupational therapist collaborates with many. We are looking for an independent and positive person who can prioritize and easily adapt their efforts to meet needs.
