In August 2022, we opened the doors to Synsam Innovation Center - our new production and innovation center in Frösön, Östersund. It is the first large-scale manufacturing industry for eyewear frames in the Nordic region and one of the world's most modern and innovative facilities for eyewear production. About the role Currently, there are about 50 people working in production at Synsam's production & innovation center. The production currently consists of around 30 different steps, and we are now looking for more production employees who will work in several of these steps. The tasks as a production employee vary between the different production steps, and you will be offered training in production and our machinery. The production steps range from relatively automated, computer-controlled (CNC) to more manual and fine motor steps – all of which place different demands on the performer but are equally important for the final product.

You will have the opportunity to both learn and work in several different production steps, and you will become part of the team that will continue to build, further develop, and improve our working methods and routines related to the new operation!

What hours will I work? Initially, the working hours for the position will be daytime 07:00-16:00 (with flexibility), but in the future, night shifts from 23:30-05:30 Sunday to Friday may be relevant. Also, two-shift work may be applicable, where you work every other week in the morning (5:20-14:30 Monday-Friday) and every other week in the afternoon (14:20-23:40 Monday-Thursday with Friday off). And three-shift work, where you work every third week 05:20-14:30, 14:20-23:40, and 23:30-05:30.

What are we looking for in a future production employee? No experience in production? No problem! It is positive but not a requirement that you have previous experience in production or similar tasks. For us, the most important thing is that you have a strong quality mindset and are meticulous in your work, are genuinely curious about helping us improve what we do in production, and that you have a positive attitude, mindset, and motivation to work in and develop production together with your colleagues. With us, no individual is more important than another, and we only succeed if we do the job together as a team!

For this reason, we see communication as a key to all collaboration. We have many different nationalities among us, but you need to be able to communicate with colleagues and receive instructions in Swedish or English to have the right conditions to succeed in the role.

What does the recruitment process look like? We are primarily looking to find the right people for our team and therefore place great importance on you as a person in the recruitment process. Our recruitment process therefore consists of both interviews, recruitment tests, and reference checks so that we can get to know you as well as possible. At the end of the process, we also conduct a background check before you are hired – we do this for all individuals we employ at Synsam.
