You will belong to the Secretariat within the Coordination Office. Here, employees gather whose tasks include legal matters, regional archives, registration, meeting administration, and internal environmental work. The Coordination Office also handles security and preparedness issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of regional archivist, you have overall responsibility for supervision and advice related to the archives of Region Jämtland Härjedalen and act as the extended arm of the archive authority.

Currently, there is work underway in Region Jämtland Härjedalen to introduce e-archives. In this development work, the regional archivist has tasks related to local e-archive management, as well as participation in delivery projects to the e-archive.

As a regional archivist, you will also lead a working group that currently consists of two archivists and one archive assistant. This means leading the practical archival work and planning the archive's operations together with your manager and colleagues. As a regional archivist, you will also support the organization in archival matters and participate as an archival expert in various forms of projects. You need to stay updated through environmental monitoring and knowledge updating.

The regional archivist will further work on routines to promote the handling of public documents and, together with other strategic functions, work on the development and management of methods for information management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to have experience in public operations and be familiar with, as well as understand, the processes of a politically governed organization. The position of Regional Archivist requires experience in qualified analysis and investigative work. The position also requires a good ability to compile and present information for different target groups and the ability to lead projects and larger investigations.

You have an academic degree that the employer finds suitable for the position, for example in archival science, economics, law, or political science. We also prefer that you have experience working with archival issues, digital archiving, and/or knowledge in systems science.

As a person, you need to have a strong ability to act independently and easily adapt to changes in requirements and conditions. To thrive in the role, you need to be communicative, able to inspire and lead others in driving change and development forward. You also have good collaboration skills and express yourself well in speech and writing. You have a strategic perspective and can see the long-term effects of decisions made. Furthermore, you are a good analyst who can see connections and solve complex questions and problems. Your ability to see the whole and understand issues from different perspectives is central.
