Job Responsibilities

With us, you will support Region Halland's operations in their work with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will make difficult legal texts accessible and help the operations implement the regulations in practice. We handle all data protection cases centrally, which means broad collaboration across the organization.

The role also includes a team leader assignment where you are responsible for case distribution, coordination, and driving improvements in our working methods. This means that you will work with complex issues while contributing to the team's common structure and development.

Your Role with Us

In your role, you will act both as an advisor and as a knowledge support by being the contact person for the administrations in matters related to the General Data Protection Regulation. You will drive and coordinate, together with your colleagues, the efforts needed to ensure a correct and effective data protection work.

The ongoing work consists of, among other things:

  • Supporting the region's operations
  • Informing, offering, and conducting training, as well as following up on training efforts
  • Handling and investigating personal data incidents
  • Registering and reviewing personal data processing
  • Drafting data processing agreements
  • Conducting impact assessments (DPIA)
  • Handling cases regarding the rights of data subjects
  • Monitoring the environment and networking

As a team leader, you create structure, prioritize, and coordinate the team's work while actively contributing to developing our processes and working methods. You will collaborate with Region Halland's data protection officer and our information security specialists.

Your Profile

To thrive with us, we believe you have:

  • A university degree at least at the bachelor's level or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of the legislation regarding data protection
  • Experience working practically with data protection issues
  • The ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Legal education
  • Experience in information security work and knowledge of, for example, ISO 27001
  • Experience in public operations
  • Experience leading or coordinating workgroups

You can explain complex legislation in a clear and supportive way and find it easy to build trusting relationships. You are attentive, communicative, and contribute to good collaboration.

In the team leader assignment, you are the one who creates structure, prioritizes, and helps the team stay on track. You are solution-oriented and responsible and enjoy driving the work forward together with others.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Warm welcome to your application!
