Custodian for Supply with Specific Work in the Morgue at Södertälje Hospital

The area of operation for Patient-Centered Administration and Services supports the hospital in various ways.

Within this area, there are medical secretaries, administrators in the main cash register, journal and customer service, DRG/quality coordinators, supply and service units. We do everything from receiving patients at the main cash register, writing patient journals, performing patient transports, laundry deliveries, restocking consumables, and much more.

Job Responsibilities

As supply personnel, you will work with:

• Internal delivery of mail, packages, medications, and consumables
• Goods reception
• Food and laundry cart deliveries
• Waste and recycling management
• Some internal furniture handling and relocations
• Picking up the deceased from the care unit and transporting to the morgue

Acting Morgue Manager

The position also includes tasks within the morgue operations, where you support the morgue manager during viewings for private individuals and funeral homes and assist with releases. The role may also involve statistics and report management, phone answering, as well as mail collection and submission during absences.

As a staff member in supply, you are responsible, proactive, and have a positive attitude. You plan, organize, and carry out work independently in collaboration with others. The position as a custodian requires good cooperation and communication skills in contacts with different professional groups, both internally and externally. You have a strong service focus, are open to operational development, and see opportunities in change processes.

Since the position also involves work within the morgue operations, you need to be calm, empathetic, and professional in your interactions with relatives and have a good ability to communicate with people in grief.

Your Qualifications

Requirements:

• Complete high school diploma.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience as a custodian/supply personnel, such as service and maintenance. Or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Good computer skills.
• Forklift license.

Employment Type

Permanent position, full-time, daytime. Weekend work every 3rd weekend.
