The mission of Sveriges Radio is to broadcast radio in the service of the public, and we have 7.4 million listeners each week. More than half of the population engages with our offerings in some form every day, whether through live linear radio or on-demand, via FM, on our own digital platforms, or with other providers. Sveriges Radio P4 is a nationwide radio channel and is by far our most listened-to channel. It is used by the 25 local radio stations across the country that broadcast regionally. We are the fast and present channel that is based on our listeners' everyday lives while also taking them across Sweden and the rest of the world. We also have a preparedness mission.
We are now looking for an inspiring and attentive planning editor for P4 Västmanland.
We are looking for someone who wants to drive and develop our journalism across all platforms. As a planning editor, you will be responsible for planned journalism, from tomorrow to the long term. This includes both major investigations, short straight news, and the surprising unexpected angles on current issues. You will ensure quality by analyzing, evaluating, and providing feedback. You are confident, inclusive, and enthusiastic, enjoy working in a team, and developing the editorial team's journalism through others. You have a nose for news and know when to pause and dig deeper. You like to lead and inspire, with the listener in focus.
About the position: The position of planning editor at Sveriges Radio P4 Västmanland is a permanent full-time position starting February 1 or by agreement. You will be based at our editorial office in Västerås.

As a person, you are good at planning, structuring, and developing ideas. You will be part of the channel's management team and work closely with the day editor and channel manager.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Journalistic education or experience deemed equivalent is a requirement
- Experience in a leadership role at a news editorial office is a requirement
- Driver's license (B) is a requirement
