Unit Manager for Surgical Operations South
Do you want to develop the future of surgical care together with colleagues and managers? Anopiva is now looking for an engaged unit manager for Surgical Operations South, focusing primarily on orthopedics as well as hand and plastic surgery – where leadership, collaboration, and patient safety are at the center.
Anopiva (anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care) is the largest clinic at Linköping University Hospital and in Region Östergötland. The clinic is organized into sections – the intensive care section, Surgical Operations North, Surgical Operations South – as well as the sterile technical unit, and has a total of over 500 employees.
At Surgical Operations South and North, surgical care is provided in collaboration with most of the region's surgical specialties. The surgical department is undergoing an organizational change to increase surgical capacity at the University Hospital with robustness, predictability, and planning, while enhancing care quality, patient safety, and work environment.
Anopiva is a university hospital clinic where education and research play a central role, and the culture of patient safety is strong.
We are now looking for a unit manager for our management team at Surgical Operations South with a primary focus on orthopedics and hand and plastic surgery (HPK).

Job Description
As a unit manager, you will be responsible for operational, financial, personnel, and work environment issues. You will have shared leadership, which means close collaboration with current unit managers in surgery. You will also work closely with the section managers for surgery, who are medically responsible, as well as with other unit managers and section managers at Anopiva. Together, you will drive and develop the surgical and intensive care operations forward in the best way for our patients and employees, as well as for the clinics we collaborate with around the patients. Our management team consists of unit and section managers as well as the research manager, deputy operations manager, and operations manager.
Work Group
The work group consists of nursing assistants, care assistants, nurses, and specialist nurses in anesthesia and surgery. The unit manager also collaborates closely with section managers and other unit managers in the clinic, and is part of the clinic's management team, which involves close cooperation across the unit's various parts. Knowledge transfer and development occur, among other things, through workplace meetings and study days organized in collaboration with educational managers and unit managers. The collaboration within the work group is characterized by close and regular cooperation between the operations manager, unit managers, and section managers. Together, you are responsible for issues such as salary setting, work environment, recruitment, and operational development. An important part of the operation's focus is to continuously improve patient safety, accessibility, response, and quality.
About You
You have relevant education for the assignment at least at the secondary level. Experience in surgical operations is an advantage, as well as leadership experience and/or leadership training.

You are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness as well as the ability to adapt your working style to circumstances, and you have good organizational skills, the ability to structure, and collaborate. You have good communication skills and show good judgment towards patients, relatives, and colleagues.
