Team Leader Wanted for Growing Business in Invasive Plant Management
We are looking for a present and engaged leader for a rapidly growing and important business focused on managing invasive plants. The field is constantly evolving and demands high levels of knowledge, structure, and fieldwork.
The assignments are often extensive and long-term, carried out in environments where precision and quality are crucial from the start.
What does working with invasive plants entail?
Our client works with the control and management of invasive species that threaten biodiversity, infrastructure, and accessibility. All work is conducted in accordance with current legislation and regulatory requirements, including:
· Inventory and planning of measures
· Mechanical and chemical control
· Hot water treatment
· Monitoring and documentation over time
· Work in sensitive environments where quality and accuracy are essential
The clientele is broad and includes municipalities, housing associations, private property owners, and individuals. This means a wide variety of assignments, from large public areas to more detailed interventions.
About the Role
As a team leader, you will be responsible for leading the daily work within the invasive plant management area. You will be present for both staff and clients, ensuring that work is carried out correctly and that the team has the best conditions. The role involves a lot of time in the field and some travel. During the winter months, you will work closely with those responsible for the landscaping operations and participate in planning for winter maintenance as well as some on-call duties during winter.
Responsibilities
- Leading staff in invasive plant management
- Planning and coordinating assignments
- Presence with clients and in the field
- Client contacts
- Financial monitoring
- Travel related to assignments and follow-ups
- Ensuring quality, work environment, and compliance with regulations
- Documentation and follow-up
- Cost estimation
- Collaboration with the landscaping team leader during winter
- Participation in planning for winter maintenance and some on-call duties
Requirements
- Experience in a leadership role or equivalent. Knowledge and practical experience in working with invasive plant species, e.g., inventory, control, monitoring, and documentation according to current legislation is highly meritorious.
- Pest control training class 1L & 2L (very meritorious).
- Horticultural education or education in landscaping, or equivalent experience.
- Good understanding of responsibility, environmental requirements, and long-term management of invasive plants.
- Experience with administrative tasks and the Office suite
- Driving license B (BE is meritorious).
