Temporary Cemetery Worker at Stockholm City Cemetery Administration, Northern Unit

The Stockholm Cemetery Administration is responsible for burial operations in Stockholm. The administration conducts burial and service activities with high ethical standards and is responsible for 12 cemeteries, 13 chapels, a ceremony building, and 2 crematoria with significant cultural and historical value.

Northern Unit, Gräveriet

We are looking for a temporary cemetery worker within Gräveriet, located at the Northern Unit. The position is for one year starting March 1, 2026. The unit includes the Northern Cemetery in Solna and Galärvarv Cemetery in Stockholm. About 20 employees work at the unit, of which eight belong to Gräveriet.

Job Responsibilities

The main task is to work within Gräveriet with grave openings, construction work, ensuring stone safety, and participating in all tasks related to the unit's maintenance activities. If needed, during winter, scheduled standby for snow and ice removal during weekends and holidays is included.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Driver's license B
• Experience in land and park maintenance
• Experience in cemetery work, e.g., opening/closing of burial chambers, handling large gravestones, stone safety, and water systems
• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Computer skills and can work with the Office suite and various IT systems
