Department 82 Pulmonology and Hematology

Department 82 is an internal medicine care department focused on pulmonology and hematology. Here, we care for severely ill patients with both acute and chronic conditions involving respiratory failure and blood diseases. We work according to clear routines for care using some of the following methods; SEUPP rounds, patient-centered reporting, and the Green Cross. We operate based on teamwork, where all professional groups collaborate to create a safe and respectful care environment.

Job Description

All patients are assessed and prioritized based on their disease symptoms, and you are responsible for the basic care of the patients. You will be part of a team with nurses, nursing assistants, specialist doctors, junior doctors, social workers, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and Care Coordinators. The work is varied, challenging, and stimulating, and you will encounter a wide range of patients and patient diagnoses. The position includes care responsibilities regarding regular checks of vital parameters, nutritional needs, sampling, dressing changes, ECG recording, catheter insertion, and assistance during various procedures such as bone marrow and drain placement.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has worked in patient-centered care for patients with various medical conditions. You find it easy to prioritize and re-prioritize your tasks, are prepared for the unexpected, contribute with humility, and have a positive attitude towards people in different situations. We seek someone who collaborates easily, can work independently, and has a flexible approach. It may occur that you need to act based on a coordination responsibility as a coordinator in the department. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in emergency care
• Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants
• Alternatively:
• Employer certificate confirming that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, according to the transitional provisions in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659)

Meritorious
