Do you have a burning interest in forest management and want to contribute to a sustainable production chain? We are now looking for two dedicated harvesting planners - one permanent position and a one-year temporary position - focusing on tract planning, where you will support our timber buyers in finding new business opportunities. Does this sound like something for you? Welcome with your application!
With us, the forest, people, and businesses grow.
As a harvesting planner, you will be responsible for planning and operational decisions within thinning and final felling. You ensure that planned tracts align with the customer's order and work closely with the flow leader to achieve the right inventory levels within the geographical area. An important part of the role is also to ensure high quality towards landowners and to actively contribute to the work for new business opportunities.
This is what you will do:
- Create and administer tract planning for thinning and final felling
- Maintain systems and tools that support the planning process
- Have ongoing consultations with both internal and external parties
- Support timber buyers in market development to evaluate new business
- Contribute to and participate in efforts to strengthen our safety and health culture within the operational business
The geography you will operate in is Dalarna and surrounding areas, and your office location will be either in Vansbro, Ludvika, Falun, or Rättvik. You will report to the flow leader.
Who are we looking for
To succeed in this role, we see that you are self-driven and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. You make well-founded decisions that contribute to the organization's goals. The role is an important part of the entire production chain and involves close collaboration with landowners, colleagues, and external partners, which requires good communication skills and a natural ability to create and maintain relationships. We also see that you have forestry education/experience.
Skills and qualifications we believe you have:
- You have a strong interest and knowledge of forest management as well as cultural and natural conservation, gained through relevant education and work experience
- You are curious and see the value in using digital tools and new technology in forest planning
- You are results-oriented and take responsibility for setting and following up on goals
- A strong safety mindset throughout the harvesting process
- Good administrative skills and fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing
- B driver's license
What we offer
With us, you will be part of our diversity-promoting work culture that helps you explore new perspectives and develop professionally. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a more sustainable world, as we believe that everything made from fossil-based materials today can be made from a tree tomorrow.
