Are you ready for the next step in your career and want to combine your passion for the forest with your knowledge in leadership, communication, and analysis? Are you technology-driven, analytical, and experienced in leading development projects? Then you could be our next harvesting specialist - a role where you will have the opportunity to influence how modern harvesting is conducted through the development of work methods, digital solutions, and technologies that create value throughout the chain – from planning to execution. Does this sound like you? Then we look forward to your application!

With us, the forest, people, and businesses grow.

As a harvesting specialist, you are a central key person responsible for driving and implementing technical development projects within harvesting and timber value – from idea to implemented result. You plan, coordinate, and lead projects towards set goals and ensure that developed solutions are applied in practice in the business through follow-up and continuous improvement.

The role involves close collaboration in an international team with colleagues in Sweden and Finland, where you operate in the intersection of functions and stakeholders. You work both strategically and operationally with method development, data analysis, digitalization, and optimization of the harvesting process with a focus on increased timber value, efficiency, and quality.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing timber value and harvesting outcomes through analysis, modeling, and improved methods
  • Analyzing and managing large datasets for decision support, simulations, and improvement proposals
  • Developing and implementing new technology – for example, digital tools, system support, sensor data, or optimization solutions
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with procurement, contracting operations, and the operational production business
  • Ensuring documentation, follow-up, and reporting related to methodology, regulatory compliance, and quality
  • Contributing to standardization and competence development within harvesting across the organization

The position belongs to our Harvesting Operations Development Team, and you report to the Development Manager Harvesting. The position is based at one of our offices within the operational area and requires regular presence at the office in Falun, approximately a couple of days every other week.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is analytical, technology-oriented, and thrives in complex development environments where data, technology, and business meet. You have the ability to structure and analyze large datasets and translate insights into practical improvements. A background in optimization theory, operations research, or technical development projects within forestry, industry, or production is advantageous.

Skills and qualifications we believe you have:

  • Relevant higher education in forestry, technology, data, or industrial economics
  • Good understanding of forestry and harvesting processes
  • Experience in leading technically complex projects
  • Interest in digitalization and data-driven working methods
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Driver's license and ability to travel for work
