Part-Time Service Worker in Borås
We are now looking for a part-time service worker to join our team in Borås!
Do you want to make a difference in healthcare? We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team at Södra Älvsborg Hospital in Borås and support the healthcare staff.
As an employee with us, you will support healthcare with cleaning services, thereby creating the conditions for healthcare and society to function.
We offer you a developing workplace where you will receive an introduction, training, and good employment conditions. As part of our team, you as a service worker lay the foundation for effective healthcare. With us, you will have the chance to perform meaningful work where you, together with competent and inspiring colleagues, are part of a constantly evolving organization. The work takes place in a healthcare environment, and you will have close contact with colleagues, customers, and patients. Our operations are ongoing 365 days a year, around the clock.
Job Responsibilities
As a service worker, you will meet many new people in a job where a lot happens. You will be offered variety and development as we assist our customers with several different service tasks. You will work closely with both healthcare staff, patients, and colleagues.
In the role of part-time service worker, you will work with 95% focus on regular daily cleaning, daily cleaning of clinics and departments, as well as common areas. The work will also involve some ordering of meals and groceries, as well as other service assignments.
To provide good service in the role of service worker, you need to:
- Be social and helpful
- Work well with others
- Enjoy adapting to what is happening
- Be responsible and organized
You have education at the primary school level, and your IT skills are basic; you can use a smartphone, tablet, email, and search for information online. In your work, you will have many contacts, so it is important that you can communicate in Swedish and follow written and oral work instructions. If you have learned Swedish through SFI, you need to have completed at least SFI course D. You have the physical ability required to walk and stand for the entire workday, lift heavy objects, or perform repetitive tasks.
You are responsible, efficient, and can take the initiative for tasks that need to be solved. It is also an advantage if you are flexible and enjoy adapting to what is happening around you, as the healthcare staff's need for support may vary. You are an important part of the hospital's ability to deliver care to the residents of Västra Götaland.
If you have experience in service work, it is an advantage.
Recruitment Process
In this process, we will not read any personal letters. Instead, you will describe why you would be a good fit for us and what motivates you to apply for the job. You will do this by answering a number of questions when you register your application.
We use tests as part of the selection process.
If you have questions, please contact the recruiting unit managers: Magnus Pagerup, [email protected], 0722-035715 or Helena Hjalmar Falk, [email protected], 0720-840356
