Cleaner Wanted at Kristineberg Marine Research Station

The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat is a government agency that promotes and coordinates Swedish polar research. The agency is responsible for long-term planning of research and research infrastructure, as well as organizing and conducting research expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctica.

The operations include, among others, the Abisko Scientific Station, Kristineberg Marine Research Station, the icebreaker Oden, and the Swedish research stations Wasa and Svea in Antarctica. The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat has about 50 employees and is located in Luleå, Abisko, Helsingborg, and at Kristineberg in Lysekil municipality.

The agency's overarching goal is to contribute to increased international impact for Swedish polar research through collaboration, high-quality research infrastructure, and international partnerships.

The Kristineberg Marine Research Station is responsible for promoting and coordinating marine research related to polar and ocean research. Kristineberg is a national research infrastructure and serves as a central platform for marine, coastal, and deep-sea related research.

The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat is now seeking a cleaner for the unit for marine-based research support, located at the Kristineberg Marine Research Station in Fiskebäckskil.

Job Responsibilities

The work mainly consists of cleaning in our facilities. The tasks include, among others:

• cleaning offices, corridors, dining rooms, toilets, and accommodation rooms
• washing and folding sheets
• keeping order and cleanliness in common areas
• watering plants and other simpler service tasks

The work involves both independent tasks and contact with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is willing to work, helpful, and responsible. You find it rewarding to contribute to a pleasant work environment and see the value in keeping the premises clean and well-maintained.

You have previous experience in cleaning and a service-oriented approach. You communicate easily with guests and colleagues and enjoy working in a role where quality and attention to detail are important.

Requirements

• Documented experience in cleaning
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish

Meritorious

• Ability to communicate in English is meritorious

The tasks require accuracy, responsibility, and independence. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other
