WorkNorway is now looking for a HSE Manager.

Our client is a well-known construction group with operations in both Sweden and Norway, with a turnover of over 10 billion SEK.

For a large project in Northern Norway, we now need to hire an HSE Manager. The project is expected to continue for another 1.5 years.

The project is in the oil and gas sector at a larger facility and includes both construction and civil engineering work. Among other things, two larger concrete buildings will be erected, as well as modifications to existing buildings with associated infrastructure.

About the position:

As the HSE Manager, you have overall responsibility for all HSE work in the project. You lead and systematically develop the work environment, risk management, and deviation follow-up, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, customer requirements, and internal requirements. You are part of the project management team and influence decisions from a safety and work environment perspective, coordinating and following up subcontractors, training, inspections, and HSE documentation.

Responsibilities:

*Participate in management meetings.

*Motivate and influence each employee to actively participate in work environment and safety efforts.

*Lead the work and process around the project's risk register.

*Report, follow up, and address risks, unwanted incidents, and near misses.

*Report monthly HSE reports and climate reports.

*Call and lead HSE meetings and participate in production meetings.

*Ensure that deviations are addressed and participate in investigations of serious incidents.

*Participate in safety rounds and emergency drills.

*Work closely with project management, HSE engineers, and project engineers.

*In relevant matters, maintain contact with authorities, occupational health services, and chief safety representatives.

Qualifications:

*You are educated in occupational health and safety or have a corresponding relevant background.

*You have previous experience as an HSE Manager in a relevant industry.

*You have experience in operational HSE work within the oil and gas industry (on-shore).

*You have at least five years of documented experience in HSE work.
