During the period of May to October 2026, we need reinforcement in the parish's cemeteries. Hiring is ongoing, so do not wait to apply.

As a seasonal cemetery worker, you will help take care of our green cultural heritage and see how the park-like environments of the cemeteries change throughout the season.

Job Responsibilities

You will primarily work with the maintenance of green areas, gravel paths, and plantings in the parish's cemeteries and around the parish's churches. We also take care of lawns and plantings in Klockarbacken, the parish's and Sävarbornas outdoor living room.

You will have all of the parish's cemeteries as your work area, and the position may include some supervision of summer staff.

Qualifications

Relevant education and/or previous experience in the maintenance of cemeteries, parks, or public gardens is advantageous, as well as experience with machinery and licenses for relevant equipment.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, meticulous, and able to work well both independently and in a team. It is also important that you are positive and can handle stress well. Since we meet people in both joy and sorrow at the cemeteries, it is important that you have a professional and humble demeanor.

A driver's license with at least a B category is required. Good physical condition is needed as the work can be physically demanding at times. You must be at least 18 years old at the start date of employment.

Scope & Duration

Full-time from May 4 to November 6, 2026, or as agreed.
