As a seasonal cemetery worker on Holmön, you will help preserve the island's rich cultural heritage, experience the changing weather, and enjoy one of Sweden's sunniest places.

You will primarily work with the maintenance of green areas, gravel paths, and plantings at Holmön Cemetery, but you may also reinforce the work team in Sävar on the mainland if needed. The position includes weekend duties in the church, and some supervision of other summer staff may occur.

Relevant education and/or previous experience in gardening or cemetery work is an advantage, and we prefer that you have experience operating green area machinery, loaders, or excavators. You are committed, meticulous, and able to work well both independently and in a team. It is also important that you are positive and can handle stress well. Since we meet people in both joy and sorrow at the cemeteries, it is essential that you have a simultaneously professional and humble approach.

A driver's license with at least a B category is required. Good physical condition is necessary as the work can be physically demanding at times. You must be at least 18 years old at the start date of employment. You also need to belong to the Church of Sweden as you will be serving in connection with church services.
