Region Halland is looking for a library developer with a particular focus on reading promotion and school libraries.

About the role

In the role of library developer, you will:

• Support the development of public libraries and school libraries in Halland.
• Develop, test, and implement methods for reading promotion initiatives.
• Train and guide library staff, school staff, civil society, and other stakeholders in reading promotion issues.
• Initiate and drive pilot projects and follow up and evaluate initiatives.
• Work with environmental monitoring and identify trends for proactive development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in library and information science, social sciences, or other education/degree deemed equivalent for the role. You have extensive knowledge of the role and operations of libraries. Experience working in public libraries is an advantage.

We also want you to have documented ability to lead groups and drive development and change work together with various stakeholders. You can inspire others and create engagement. The role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and we expect you to have a structured approach focused on solutions.
