Engaged Employee Wanted for Support Services in Klintehamn
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Care for People with Disabilities
In our care services, we support individuals with various disabilities and work every day to create a safe and meaningful everyday life.
Our mission is to provide support and guidance in daily life, with the goal that each individual can live as independently and self-determined as possible.
Klintehamn is beautifully located along Gotland's stunning west coast, about thirty kilometers south of Visby. Here, the operations are conducted in two group homes and through a mobile team and housing support that provides assistance to adults based on decisions according to LSS and SOL.
We are now looking for an engaged employee for the housing support in Klintehamn.
With us, you will enjoy a varied and flexible job, eventful working days, and access to wellness programs – all in an operation where you truly make a difference.
Your Responsibilities
As a support assistant within housing support, you work in the individual's home to support increased independence and active participation in society. The support is tailored individually and is always based on each person's unique needs, conditions, and goals.
We place great importance on self-determination and respect for personal integrity in the individual's home, something that permeates both our approach and our daily work. The assignment is responsible and is based on a pedagogical and relationship-building working method.
In the operation, we work with IBIC as a foundation. The role includes case management, which means responsibility for, among other things, implementation plans, contact with relatives, and coordination of interventions according to SoL.
If necessary, you may need to support other units in the area; therefore, it is a prerequisite that you are flexible and have a positive attitude towards changes, even when they sometimes occur at short notice.
The work is carried out according to a basic schedule with shifts during the day and evening, as well as every other weekend.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who are a support assistant and have completed a secondary education with a focus on care and nursing, child and leisure, or are trained as a social pedagogue and/or personal assistant. A B driver's license is a requirement.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked in care for people with disabilities, have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and cognitive difficulties. It is also advantageous if you have experience with challenging behavior, salutogenic working methods, and low-arousal responses.
We are looking for someone with personal maturity and a secure approach when meeting others. You are flexible and easily adapt to different situations and individual needs. With pedagogical insight, you create structure, understanding, and participation in everyday life.
You are service-oriented, clear in your communication, and have the ability to see the whole picture – always with the individual's best interests in focus.
We expect you to share the intentions of SOL regarding a humanistic view of humanity, values, and good treatment.
It is important that you are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation take place in Swedish.
Welcome with your application today!
