We are now looking for a welder in the mechanical workshop at Forsmark!

The Mechanical Workshop consists of about 35 people divided into three technical groups: cutting machine processing, sheet metal and welding, and material and goods handling. The Mechanical Workshop provides the highest possible service in all situations where quality, collaboration, and flexibility are always our guiding stars.

The main tasks of the mechanical workshop are to assist the maintenance unit and project offices with the production of new components and spare parts, prefabrication of assembly details, and repairs of mechanical components. The workshop maintains a very high standard and is approved for manufacturing in the highest quality class for nuclear power.

Your role as a welder Mek/Licensed Welder

• report to the management in the department
• perform new manufacturing and repair of components for nuclear power
• participate in the development and implementation of new welding methods
• ensure that schedules are followed and that the work maintains high quality
• work both in the workshop environment and on the controlled side within the facility

Qualifications

We are convinced that you will develop with us. To give you the best conditions in the role, we see that you already have:

• high school or higher education in welding/workshop/industry, or equivalent work experience
• licenses for welding in various materials
• experience with welding methods used in the workshop are TIG, MIG/MAG
• experience in reading technical drawings
• driver's license B
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and the ability to be understood in English

Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, and we produce one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden.
