The Ambulance Service in Älvsbyn is a rural station, where we work together 24/7 throughout the year with the vital task of providing care and support to patients of all ages in prehospital emergency care. We are looking for

We are now looking for a licensed nurse with at least 3 years of continuous possession of a B driver's license. You should have good physical fitness as heavy lifting is part of the job. Therefore, physical tests will be conducted before employment. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience in ambulance care.

What you will work with

In ambulance care, you meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury either in their homes, outdoors, or at accident sites. Together with an ambulance caregiver or ambulance nurse, you form a team that is often the first on the scene in case of serious illness or accidents. As an ambulance nurse, you make the initial assessment, provide treatment, and have the medical responsibility to decide on care and treatment measures. In ambulance care, each intervention involves unique situations and challenges where your help can be crucial and make a real difference.

The ambulance service is organizationally its own unit within emergency care, and in rural areas, it includes integration with primary care/HC. The team works together and collaborates with other professional groups such as emergency departments, municipalities, rescue services, and police. Älvsbyn is known for its beautiful nature and is surrounded by vast forests and lakes.

Information about the position

We now offer a permanent full-time position. Working hours are scheduled around the clock. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
