Your new role
We are looking for an operational buyer for our client in Gothenburg!
As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for placing orders and following up on deliveries to ensure that production and project milestones are met. The role demands high standards of quality, flexibility, collaboration, and quick decision-making – both from you and their suppliers. Your key interfaces, apart from the suppliers, will be the planning department and several different product and project offices.
Your main responsibilities include:
Purchasing materials and services based on planned needs
Order placement and follow-up
Full responsibility for less complex suppliers
Gathering cost estimates
Handling supplier invoices
Ongoing feedback to account managers
Supplier relationships and follow-up
Flow optimization
Here, you will be part of the category procurement team for Sensor Systems, together with other strategic and operational buyers based in Gothenburg. Since the organization has recently undergone changes, you will also need to make decisions even when instructions and interfaces are not entirely clear.

To be successful in this role, you needA university degree in purchasing, economics, engineering, or another relevant field.
Experience in supply/sourcing, preferably as an operational buyer.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a good understanding of the factors that drive purchasing in the Supply Chain.
You can independently drive processes and ensure delivery precision.
You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
You are solution-oriented and can act in the moment without losing focus on the bigger picture. You are responsible, proactive, and have a positive attitude.
