About the unit:

The Logistics Unit Stockholm is a unit at the Life Guards that supports military units from the operational locations of Stockholm, Solna, and Kungsängen.

The unit currently consists of a Staff, a Technical Department, a Supply Department in Stockholm, and a Supply Department in Kungsängen as well as a Mobilization Department. The Logistics Unit contributes to a stronger defense force through well-functioning logistics, unit-close storage management, supply provision, and ordering of material maintenance in peace, during readiness increases, and in war. The Armed Forces, and particularly the Logistics Unit Stockholm, are experiencing growth in several areas.

About the section:

At the Logistics Unit's service depot, the work is both varied and developing. We deliver our professional service and knowledge every day in our interactions with our customers. Our section consists of eight employees of mixed ages, with different skills and backgrounds. We make sure to have fun at work, we work together, and help each other.

As an employee of the Armed Forces, we offer:

Main responsibilities

  • Lead and work with the staff in the section in daily operations
  • Together with the section manager, lead and develop the work team
  • Represent the section and/or department at various forums
  • Conduct accounting and inventory of supplies in the Armed Forces' accounting system Lift/Prio (SAP)
  • Substitute for the section manager in their absence
  • Under the section manager, plan, lead, and follow up on the implementation of supply provision in the own section and area of responsibility
  • Together with the section manager, be responsible for customer contact with the various units and functions in the Armed Forces
  • Be prepared to support/lead other sections within the department
  • Participate in exercises throughout the Armed Forces

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Experience in leadership or other competencies deemed equivalent by the employer
  • At least a completed three-year upper secondary education
  • Several years of experience in storage/warehouse work or in a service profession or other competencies deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Driver's license at least class B (manual)
  • Good experience working in a digital computer environment
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • Forklift license

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is structured, orderly, and has a sense of service. Meeting new people should be a given, and you can express yourself well verbally and in writing. You will work in a group, so we prefer that you can collaborate well with others and have good camaraderie, but also be able to work independently and take your own initiatives and responsibility. As a person, you are stress-resistant, flexible, meticulous, and loyal. Personal qualities will be given great importance in the selection process.

Meritorious

  • Experience handling the Armed Forces' accounting system PRIO (SAP)
  • Previously worked with the Armed Forces' material

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:

The Life Guards is one of the largest units in the Armed Forces with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel who will carry out international missions. We guard the royal palaces, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also present in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.
