Engineer in Telemetry

We are looking for an engineer who wants to help drive our work in telemetry forward. With us, you will have the opportunity to use your skills where they truly make a difference. About the Position

As an engineer with us, you will work in a workplace that is completely unique in its design. The test site includes advanced aerial targets, moving ground targets, technical systems such as radar stations, command systems, and various optical systems. We have a wide range of competencies at the test site, and in the role of engineer, you will belong to the section for communication and telemetry systems, which is part of the technical unit.

The role involves participating when the Armed Forces and other external customers test new materials, train, or verify their capabilities at the Vidsel Test Site. In the section, you will mainly work to operate our ground systems to receive telemetry data (measurement data from sensors) from customers' and our own aircraft. The section is also responsible for the test site's flight termination system (FTS).

In your role as an engineer, in addition to operating our telemetry systems during tests, you will work independently as well as in teams with troubleshooting, maintenance, and development of the test site's telemetry systems. You will be trained in our telemetry systems here at the test site.

In this position, as part of your development, you may participate in, drive, or lead projects within the telemetry area. Examples of projects may include investigations, feasibility studies, development projects, and procurement projects within the telemetry area. The work also includes administration and documentation related to the area as well as supporting your team members, projects, or other sections as needed. We welcome your interest in future development opportunities related to structuring and leading work.

The position is located in Vidsel.

About You

We are looking for someone who is educated as a civil or engineering graduate, systems scientist, or has other relevant education or experience that we consider equivalent. You have experience in technical work. To succeed in the role, it is essential that you have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You also hold a valid driver's license (B).

It is advantageous if you have experience working in project form. We would like you to have worked in an agile manner. If you have previous experience in public procurement or leading other employees, we see it as a benefit. Related to the telemetry area, it is advantageous if you have several years of experience working in electronics, radio technology, networks, or troubleshooting in these areas. We view it positively if you have good knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps. Knowledge in electronics, radio technology, antennas, networks, or programming is also advantageous.
