Park Worker at Bromma District Administration
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Bromma District Administration offers you a workplace where your efforts can truly make a difference and contribute to the public good in a growing district. Here, active employee participation and clear leadership are the foundation for a developing operation.
Welcome to us
Do you want to be part of starting a completely new organization focused on creating a sustainable and attractive urban environment in Bromma? Now that we are transitioning to the operation of parks and green areas in our district, we are looking for you who want to join us on this journey as a park worker.
The Bromma district is facing an exciting transformation journey as we prepare to take over waste management and maintenance of parks and green areas under municipal management. About 82,000 residents live here.
You will be part of the new unit for the operation of parks and green areas, which, together with the project organization, is part of the urban environment area. The unit will consist of a supervisor and a team of park workers led by a unit manager. The group will operate from a shared facility with other colleagues from the urban environment area.
We have high ambitions to develop the district's public outdoor environments and look forward to having you with us on this journey! Warm welcome to submit your application!
We offer
Bromma has three nature reserves and over 500 hectares of natural land. Forest and nature conservation as well as biodiversity are a natural part of our work and focus in the district. We currently manage three nature reserves: Kyrksjölötens Nature Reserve, Judarns Nature Reserve, and part of Grimsta Nature Reserve, as well as around 80 playgrounds, three beach baths, and a two-mile-long shoreline.
For us, it is important to have fun at work! You will be part of an engaged workgroup focused on the residents of Bromma. Our operations are characterized by collaboration, courage, empathy, and respectful interaction. You will be offered good employment benefits such as professional development, wellness grants, and vacation exchange. Feel free to read more about our benefits and working in Stockholm City here.

The unit for the operation of parks and green areas is an operation under construction. Park operations in-house will start in the spring of 2026 after being contracted out for over twenty years. Here you have an opportunity to influence the development of the new unit by contributing your knowledge and experience. Together, the unit will focus on developing efficient and climate-smart working methods and sustainable operations that provide value for residents and the environment in Bromma.
Your tasks will vary throughout the year and will include:
- maintenance of planting areas

- rounds, supervision, and maintenance of playgrounds, dog parks, outdoor gyms
- maintenance and repair of park and playground equipment
- waste management
- sand collection

- winter road maintenance including winter preparedness
Both the role and the unit are new and under development, which means you may perform all tasks related to park and natural land maintenance, waste management, and winter road maintenance. You have scheduled working hours, and weekend work may occur in connection with holidays and during peak season. Winter preparedness is included in the position.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:

You are resilient and work independently, enjoying working outdoors in all seasons and regardless of the weather. You thrive in teamwork with colleagues and have the ability to easily adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities, motivation, and commitment to the position!
