Unit Managers for Norrköping's Culture School
Do you want to be part of driving an organization that makes a difference every day for children's and young people's creativity and cultural experiences? We are now looking for two committed unit managers who, in a shared leadership role, want to shape the future Culture School – a place where creativity, quality, and collaboration are at the center.
Who are we?
The Culture School in Norrköping is a meeting place for creation, learning, and community. Here, children, youth, and young adults have the opportunity to express themselves and develop through music, visual arts, theater, dance, and film. We offer both breadth and depth – from beginner lessons to orchestras, choirs, and larger stage productions.
Our operations are characterized by curiosity and a desire for development. We actively work to reach more children and young people and to find new forms of artistic learning. Collaboration is a natural part of our working method – both within the Culture School, across different art forms, and in close cooperation with schools, youth centers, libraries, and community organizations.
With us, there is a dedicated team of about 50 employees, as well as administrative support with technicians, administrators, and business developers. Together, we create a dynamic and inclusive organization where creativity can flourish.
We are now looking for two committed unit managers for Norrköping's Culture School!
Here you will have the opportunity to drive a creative organization where music, dance, theater, visual arts, and media meet – and where children and young people can grow through art. As one of two unit managers, you will share the responsibility for leading the Culture School forward, in a close and equal partnership based on dialogue, trust, and shared leadership.
Your responsibilities
As a unit manager, you will lead and develop the Culture School's operations together with your managerial colleague, with responsibility for personnel, finances, and quality. You will work both strategically and operationally – from contributing to the long-term goals of the organization and participating in regional and national networks to being close to the operations and creating a good working environment for your employees.
You have a central role in creating a clear direction forward, driving development work, and ensuring that the Culture School continues to be an attractive and accessible place for children and young people throughout Norrköping. Together with business developers and other employees, you will contribute to strengthening the Culture School's role as an integral part of the municipality's cultural and educational offerings.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education and experience in leading or coordinating operations, preferably within culture, pedagogy, or another creative environment. Experience from a politically governed organization is an advantage, as is knowledge of the Culture School's mission and working methods.
You are a confident, attentive, and engaged leader who thrives in a shared leadership role where collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility are the keys to success. You are clear in your leadership and have the ability to create engagement, participation, and structure in the organization.
As a person, you are communicative, unpretentious, and easily build good relationships – both internally and externally. You have a good ability to see the big picture, work systematically, and adapt to changing circumstances. Above all, you have a strong commitment to children's and young people's opportunities to grow through culture and creativity.
Welcome with your application!
