Boat Builder Laminating/Gel Coating

Due to the increasing demand for our services, we are now looking for an experienced laminator for our plastic/repair workshop.

You need to have experience and knowledge either through education or several years of professional experience regarding the repair or manufacture of fiberglass boats.

The tasks consist of: Gel coating/repairing gel coat, Polyester/vinylester laminating by hand or with injection through vacuum technology, applying fiberglass fabric. Experience in laminating with epoxy and carbon fiber as well as spray painting is also qualifying but not a requirement.

We provide repairs and renovations on plastic boats and handle boats between 4-20m. The work is carried out both in the field and in our workshops.

For the right person, there are good opportunities to continue developing and building your knowledge together with the rest of the team in our workshop. You need to be good at maintaining structure and order in your work and be able to independently plan and carry out tasks under responsibility. Collaborating with the team is just as important as being able to manage yourself in your work. You contribute to ensuring that the work is completed within the planned time and cost frame.

You work in an analytical, careful, and risk-aware manner. It is an advantage if you enjoy challenges and like problem-solving.

To succeed in the role, we believe you also have the following competencies/qualities:

• Vocational training as either a boat builder or life experience in the profession.
• Service-oriented and helpful.
• Organized and punctual.
• A strong interest in boats and knowledge about boats in general.
• Driver's license B is required, as travel in service occurs.
• Experience in the chemical industry is an advantage.
• Swedish in speech and writing is required.
• Possession of vehicle authorization for forklift, telehandler, wheel loader, and hot work training is advantageous.
