Project Coordinator for Alarm and Access Control Systems

About the department

The position is located at the Implementation Department in Visby, which consists of two sections with different focuses. One section has tasks related to telecommunications, while the other section deals with IT and technical monitoring. As a project coordinator for alarm and access control systems, you will be part of the section for IT and technical monitoring.

Main responsibilities

The work mainly consists of leading/implementing projects, contracts, design, tender work, and inspections. The work also involves budgeting within the technical area and providing support to our own technicians on technical issues. Collaborations often occur within the department, the unit, the regiment, and with other parallel organizations within the authority.

As a project coordinator for alarm and access control systems, you will lead and follow up on the activities of contracted subcontractors and report and document ongoing and completed work, including financial reporting. You will collaborate with suppliers and support the Armed Forces' units with technical inquiries. The work is primarily carried out in the Armed Forces' premises and facilities in Gotland.

  • Drive expansion and new installation projects for alarms, access, and CCTV systems
  • Ensure that projects are carried out within the allocated budget and time frame
  • Provide technical support and advice within the technical area of the department
  • Conduct budgeting within the technical area
  • Support the technical area of technical monitoring

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • High school education with an electrical/telecommunications focus or equivalent knowledge assessed as equivalent by the employer
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience working with technical monitoring systems (intrusion alarms, access, and CCTV systems)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Good IT skills and computer proficiency
  • Driver's license B is required

As a person, you are independent, have good collaboration skills, are service-oriented, have a technical inclination, possess good analytical skills, are security-conscious, and structured.

MERITORIOUS

  • Documented security technology education
  • Knowledge of SSF's various regulations and standards
  • Knowledge in server and network technology
  • Good knowledge of the Armed Forces and its systems and materials

The employment is a civilian permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Appointment: by agreement. Work location: Visby.
