On the old herring island Klädesholmen outside Tjörn lies Salt & Sill, surrounded by Bohuslän's salty cliffs and skerries. We are Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the west coast's most appreciated archipelago destinations, with hotel, conference, and restaurant – right by the dock. Our business has been operated in its current form since the early 2000s and is characterized by a strong passion for food, people, and hospitality. We are now looking for a Housekeeping Manager who wants to take long-term responsibility for our housekeeping department and help ensure quality, structure, and comfort – for both guests and colleagues.

As Housekeeping Manager, you are a key person in the daily operations and have overall responsibility for the housekeeping department. You lead, plan, and follow up on the work while ensuring that our hotel rooms, common areas, restaurant, and conference facilities maintain a high and consistent standard.

You work operationally with the team and in close collaboration with the hotel manager and reception, focusing on quality, efficiency, and guest experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, leading, and distributing the daily work within housekeeping

• Ensuring high cleaning standards in hotel rooms and common areas

• Supervising, introducing, and supporting housekeeping staff

• Developing and following up on cleaning, laundry, and storage routines

• Managing the ordering and handling of cleaning materials, textiles, and consumables

• Reporting and following up on damages, wear, and maintenance needs

• Collaborating with reception and operations for smooth check-ins and check-outs

• Being a role model in accuracy, responsibility, and hospitality

You are structured, confident in your leadership, and enjoy combining operational work with responsibility and planning. You have an eye for detail, but also for the whole and the work environment in the team.

We would like you to:

• Have experience in housekeeping, preferably in a leading role

• Be meticulous, organized, and solution-oriented

• Enjoy leading, motivating, and supporting others

• Be responsible, flexible, and self-driven

• Have good service sense and understanding of guest experience

• Speak Swedish and English fluently, both written and spoken

• Have good physical ability and be used to active work

• Have a driver's license and access to a car

The position is a permanent employment, with an initial probationary period as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for both weekdays and weekends, primarily during the day but with flexibility as needed. Staff accommodation is available.
