Meal service is part of the service administration and has about 120 employees in our 45 public kitchens.

Together, we prepare and serve meals to children in preschool, students in school, and to the elderly in care. We prioritize locally produced, Swedish, and organic products when making our purchases, and we work based on sustainable production.

Subject to the necessary decisions being made, you now have the opportunity to apply for the positions as a chef in Värnamo municipality's kitchens. You will work in an organization where we have a strong sense of meals and good service. Where we have great care for the meals provided to our children in preschool, students in school, and our elderly. You will report to the responsible manager.

Job Responsibilities

As a chef, you are responsible for planning, purchasing, preparing, and serving meals. You have good computer skills as you will be working with orders and registrations in meal data programs. As a chef, you will also be responsible for self-control, internal administration, and other tasks that arise in our kitchens.

About the Workplace:

Your placement is in a production kitchen that prepares about 110 portions per day. The role of chef requires high flexibility and adaptability as the assignment may involve working where the need arises.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in food, meals, and service for those we serve! You have a strong commitment and professionalism for the profession!

You are a chef with relevant education from restaurant and food education or experience from working in large kitchens/restaurant kitchens that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in cooking and production as well as good knowledge of HACCP. Experience with meal data programs is an advantage.

The work involves various computer programs, which means that computer skills are necessary. You are proficient in Swedish in both spoken and written form.
