As an employee at Sanda's new restaurant, you will be part of an exciting journey - shaping a new restaurant. By the end of 2026, we will move into a completely newly built restaurant where you will have the opportunity to leave your mark on the operation.

Your new job

We are looking for a chef for Sanda's school restaurant where you, together with your colleagues, will prepare meals for approximately 1500 students. We prepare healthy and nutritious food for Sanda.

You will be part of a team where we cook with high-quality raw materials, following the guidelines set by the National Food Agency, Jönköping Municipality, and the Education Administration regarding school meals. The entire restaurant operation should be characterized by good quality, culinary joy, sustainability thinking, and excellent service.

Your work will also include self-control, collaboration across boundaries, participation in operational development, and other tasks within the large kitchen such as dishwashing, cleaning, and serving.

Examples of tasks:

• Serve delicious and well-prepared meals to the school's students
• Cook from scratch according to current guidelines for lunch in a school environment
• Create meals that are healthy, environmentally sustainable, and flavorful for young adults
• Be a good ambassador for the kitchen by involving students in the meals.
• Integrate meals into students' learning and development.
• Have the opportunity to influence eating habits and health for a healthy life.
• Create enhanced snacks for sports students and the student residence
• Other tasks in a kitchen.

Your qualifications

You have a great interest in cooking and a passion for working with good and sustainable raw materials.

The food should be both flavorful and nutritious, with a focus on quality and sustainability. We value your experience in cooking from scratch and adapting meals to students' specific needs.

As a person, you are an engaged team player who enjoys working together with both educators and kitchen staff to create a safe and inspiring dining environment for students.

You are eager to share your knowledge and joy of work and contribute to a positive and collaborative work climate.

You also find it easy to follow given guidelines and working methods, while being committed to helping develop the operation. You see opportunities for improvement and are willing to take the initiative to continuously contribute to the development of the kitchen's work and quality.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Qualifications:

• Education as a chef.
• Experience from large kitchens or restaurants is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Basic IT skills.

Good to know

The position can be a temporary or seasonal employment depending on what we agree upon. A probationary period may apply.
