Job Responsibilities

With us in ward 3, we care for patients in security class 2. As a nurse with us, you will, together with caregivers, be responsible for a care team in the ward, participate in care planning together with the patient and team, and be responsible for nursing and medical assessments. The job also includes having caring conversations, making assessments, health checks, and medication management. In your role as a nurse, you will also document according to applicable guidelines and legislation and collaborate with municipalities and relevant discharge accommodations.

About the Workplace

Within the forensic psychiatric inpatient care, you are welcomed to a highly specialized care operation where you as a nurse have an important role. We work in teams with the patient in focus. With us, nurses, caregivers, psychologists, therapists, and doctors work together.

The forensic psychiatric care is located in Sala. We are a highly specialized operation with about 160 employees. The four inpatient wards have 55 care places, and shortly another ward will open. After inpatient care, the treatment often transitions to forensic outpatient care with special conditions, and an outpatient team is available at the clinic. Our patient group consists of residents of Västmanland and patients from outside the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you are a specialist nurse in psychiatric care. We also see it as a benefit if you have experience working in psychiatric care or forensic psychiatric care. Our work is governed by documents in Swedish, and therefore you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you have experience working in the Cosmic journal system, it is an advantage.

We see that you are a secure, stable person with good self-awareness. You collaborate well with others as well as having a good ability to structure and drive your work forward independently. The role of a nurse involves leadership and requires a good ability to lead and motivate other nursing staff together with your nursing colleagues. You are a meticulous person who is well aware of goals and quality standards. To succeed in the role, you need to be adaptable to changing circumstances.
