About the Agreement

We have signed an agreement with LKAB for raw material transport, stock management, additives, and road maintenance in Svappavaara. The agreement is for four years plus an option and came into effect on January 1, 2025. The assignment includes loading materials in the plant, loading train cars, transporting materials with forklifts within the area, service work with wheel loaders, and road maintenance in the form of snow removal, sanding, watering, and more.

Job Responsibilities

As a mechanic on this project, you play a key role in our ability to deliver our best every day. Together with your fellow mechanics, you will work to maintain the highest possible availability of the machinery fleet. You will perform scheduled service and respond to daily breakdowns and failures.

It is important that you are meticulous and ensure that there is order and cleanliness on the worksite.

You also need to have good physical fitness to handle work that can sometimes be physically demanding.

Qualifications

• You should have completed a vehicle engineering education, industrial maintenance training, or similar experience from previous jobs.
• You should have experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• Hold a B driver's license.

• Be proficient in Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Be able to write in English.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic schematics is a merit.

Working Hours and Salary

• Working hours: Work 7 days, off 7 days. 06:00-16:42
• Salary: According to collective agreement with IF Metall Mining Contract Agreement. Individual salary setting applies.
• Employment conditions: Permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period.
• Start date according to agreement.
