Your New Job

As a repair technician with us, you will be part of the technical service, which is a service organization for the residents of the municipality and the municipality's own administrations.

You will work alongside 12 colleagues responsible for the repairs of the municipality's vehicle fleet. You will have an independent and varied job where you handle everything from tractors and implement carriers to passenger cars and trucks. As a repair technician, you play a significant role and have a vital function in society.

You will belong to the Department of Roads, Parks, and Forests (GPS), which is responsible for maintaining and developing the municipality's roads, streets, parks, and green areas. We also manage parking and maintain and rent out vehicles and machinery.

The position is based at Vasavägen 10 Vägporten, and work at other locations may occur.

Job Responsibilities

• Service and repair trucks/passenger cars and their equipment
• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
• Meet customers and be the face of technical service
• Stay updated on new technology to meet customer needs
• Collaborate with internal and external parties including colleagues, immediate supervisors, and customer reception
• Work with safety awareness and a caring attitude towards all municipal objects
• Participate in training related to your area of expertise
• Be part of the winter preparedness organization

Requirements

• Vocational education in vehicle technology at the high school level
• Several years of experience in vehicle repairs with light or heavy vehicles and their equipment
• Driver's license B manual transmission
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Good computer skills with experience in working with digital systems

Meritorious

• Driver's license C
• Experience from similar operations
