Do you want to work with essential infrastructure and contribute to ensuring that the residents of Gislaved Municipality have access to clean water around the clock? We are now looking for a committed, orderly, practical, and responsible skilled worker for our water and sewage operations.

The Water and Sewage Unit (VA) is responsible for the municipality's water and sewage facilities, including water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations. You will be part of a competent and helpful team working for a safe and sustainable water supply.

About the position

As a skilled worker within VA, you will work with the operation, supervision, maintenance, and repair of water, wastewater, and stormwater pipelines. The work is varied and occurs both planned and on an emergency basis, often in close collaboration with colleagues and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Operation and maintenance of the VA pipeline network
  • Repair of water and sewage pipelines
  • Valve and well work
  • Leak detection and resolution of operational disturbances
  • Participation in new construction and renovations
  • Documentation and reporting in operational systems
  • On-call duty may be included

Qualifications

  • High school education, preferably with a focus on VA, construction, or equivalent
  • Experience in VA, construction, or similar practical professions is an advantage
  • Driver's license B (requirement)
  • Machine or vehicle qualifications
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Basic computer skills
