Lumire, Luleå Miljöresurs AB (https://www.lumire.se/), is a municipal company for water and sewage, waste management, recycling, and reuse. Lumire is owned by Luleå Municipality and we have 240 employees who ensure that all residents of Luleå have fresh and tasty drinking water from the tap and that waste and sewage are handled in a circular manner.

As a summer intern, you play an important role in the work we do at Lumire for the entire Luleå community. Together, we make Luleå sustainable.

We are looking for you who

Has the ability to collaborate with others and is responsible, meticulous, self-driven, and enjoys providing good service. You are at least 18 years old, can speak and write Swedish, and we prefer that you have completed high school. See under each role for more specific requirements. C-drivers

We are looking for drivers who handle the collection of all fractions from private customers and business customers with the lowest qualification requirement being a C-license and YKB certificate.

If you have a CE license, you could be one of the truck or suction truck drivers we are looking for, and it is advantageous if you have ADR tank, but not a requirement.

All our drivers are employed full-time during the summer months, but an earlier start may be possible by agreement.

Operations Technician for Wastewater Treatment Plants

We are looking for operations technicians for our wastewater treatment plants, where you will be part of a team that performs operational and maintenance work on wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and biogas plants.

You will work with process monitoring, operational optimization, and perform sampling, control, and troubleshooting of process, machine, electrical, control/regulation, and instrument functions. The work is done both independently and in a group. You will be based at our wastewater treatment plant in Svartön. For this role, a B driver's license is required, and we prefer that you have a technical focus in your high school education.

Operations Technician for Waterworks

We are also looking for operations technicians for our waterworks, pressure boosting stations, and water towers, where you will be part of a team that performs operational and maintenance work.

You will work with process monitoring, operational optimization, and perform sampling, control, and troubleshooting of process, machine, electrical, control/regulation, and instrument functions. The work is done both independently and in a group, and you will be based at our waterworks in Gäddvik. For this role, a B driver's license is required, and we prefer that you have a technical focus in your high school education.

Sanitation Workers

We are looking for sanitation workers for our recycling centers. You will be based in Risslan but also at Sunderbyn, Antnäs, and Råneå. Your tasks will consist of actively informing and guiding visitors at the recycling centers so that waste and reuse are sorted correctly. You will oversee the facility and ensure that it is clean, tidy, and safe everywhere. A B driver's license is a requirement, and if you also have ADR 1.3 or experience in customer service, it is advantageous.

Wheel Loader Operators

We are looking for wheel loader operators for the Sunderby waste facility. Here we sort, temporarily store, and mechanically process waste for recycling. We are looking for wheel loader operators with a wheel loader license.

Store Assistant

We are looking for someone with a passion for second-hand and reuse for the Return Point Center and the second-hand store Samlat as well as for the Reuse Reception/Sustainability House at Risslan.

You can communicate with our customers in both Swedish and English. Your tasks will vary, and you will work with reuse reception and sorting, cash handling, product picking, pricing, and general store styling. If you have previously worked in retail or have cash handling experience, it is advantageous. However, the most important thing is that you have a good customer service attitude and see the value of second-hand and reuse.

Customer Communicator

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping customers and wants to provide good service. The work involves receiving and managing inquiries and communicating with customers via phone, email, and other digital channels as well as physical visits.

You take responsibility for your tasks and feel a commitment to sustainability and environmental issues, enjoy learning new things, and contribute to your own and others' continued learning. You have good computer skills.

Previous experience in customer service or experience with Lime CRM and EDP Future is advantageous.
